Support Team Training
What’s a Support Team?
Your Support Team are friends and family members that are willing to enter into a covenant agreement to support you during your adopting/fostering journey. The involvement of your Support Team can make the difference between sucess and heartbreak.
All Project 1.27 adoptive families need to recruit four (4) Support Team Members before they are allowed to proceed to their county/agency for certification. A Support Team member is comitting themselves to:
- Spend time with your family and children throughout your placement period through finalization and in coordination with your case worker.
- Pray for your family
- Assist you with practical needs like short-term respite care, transportation, meals, house cleaning, yard work, etc.
- Receive training on how to support you during your adoption/fostering journey.
Develop your Support Team now!
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
